{Never stop wondering. Never stop wandering.}
Typically our family trips coincide with a work trip of some sort. Last week we broke away for some exclusive family time. We decided on three rules for the trip. 1. Every answer had to be YES. (Took care of a lot of decisions.) 2. Ice cream was required before dinner every night. (We kept to it - even when it was painful.) 3. When in doubt, YOLO (truth.)
day one - we mostly traveled. On the first flight our two oldest boys sat next to each other in front of us. As we took off into the air Noah yelled on the top of his lungs "WEEEEEE'RE FLYYYYYYINNNNGGGG!!!!" then other kids on the plane joined in his exclamation by cheering "yaaaaay!!" Everyone laughed. It might have been one of the best moments in my life. Just with all the hustle and planning and stress - it was a reminder that this is crazy. Life is beautiful. Flying . is. so . cool . When we arrived - that first step in the soft, white, sand was monumental. Everyone sacked out pretty quick that day, except our youngest. Wasn't about to miss anything new. xoxo
