Had the fabulous opportunity to work with The Sewing Machine Project this past weekend! I have been watching them grow and help people for years now, and it was so great to have some time with the wonderful woman who started it all! I am just in love with their mission. The Sewing Machine Project was formed in 2005 for the purpose of collecting and distributing sewing machines to groups committed to using the machines to provide opportunities to create, learn new skills, build self confidence, and contribute to their own livelihoods and the well being of their families and communities. Pretty awesome right?
