Ah - it is Throwback Thursday {T.T.} and I am reflecting on the people who gave me a chance when I was young. I do not say it enough - I have great appreciation for you. It is beyond what would ever be related to a simple "thank you." So... I am going to say, "Thank you" - but I want you to know that I have a lot more love behind that.
I have come a long way since my first photo shoot. I have learned a lot - taken a ton of criticism (constructive and otherwise). I look back now and appreciate every bit, every person, all those experiences. To be clear - I am NO WHERE near where I want to be with this profession. This artistry. I see flaws in every s i n g l e image I take. It is both a disappointment and a blessing. I just want to know it all.
As I was looking through some painfully old photographs I had taken - I found a trend in a particular family. I have photographed Amanda, her brother and sister, her wedding, her daughter, her son, her family. She is definitely not the only person I have shared and archived these lifetime moments with - but she was my very first senior portrait gig. So, thank you Amanda, and thank you to everyone who has been with me through this photography journey.
