It's too bad the boys had a horrible time up nort' at their grandma + pa's cabin. Okay ... so maybe we had to trick them into a car nap just to get them home. They were devastated when they woke up after the 4 hour drive ... back in Madison. All they want is to go back. The Mosquitos were the worst they had been in 20 years, but the kids hardly seemed to mind. We didn't do much of anything huge, watched fish, played with nets, checked out a true beaver dam, row boat rides, snacks, dinners, naps, dominos, cards, danced - it was fun to be with family, without the immediate connectivity to the outside world. I left my camera indoors most of the time but did get a couple shots of the brothers doing their thing. We truly had a great time, and are already looking to go back! HUGE thanks to my aunts and uncles for letting us stay at their cabin a short ways away from grandpa + grandpas place, too. It was great to break up the time, and to get on a couple of different lakes! xo
