I just want to hold this little family in my arms ... like right now + forever. They are going through a battle that I can find no words of any substance to describe. What I end up writing here will seem so flat in comparison to how I feel about this. It is actually unbelievable. I guess its times like this that I rely a lot on photographs and even more on positive thoughts + prayers.

Even so, it was completely refreshing to be around them the day of their wedding. They are just fantastic. You don't sit there the whole time thinking about how strange, and confusing this all is. You just laugh with them and nearly forget that they are going through a war every day. This couple has an actual angel for a daughter - calling out "HI MOM!" and "HI DAD!" from her seat as the wedding began. They were married in Paradise, the park in Cottage Grove. It was a beautiful day - warm, sunny, and full of family. Later I joined up with them downtown Madison for an cool evening walk around the Capital + State Street before they headed into their after party for some drinks and eats with their friends and family. [PS: Walking around with them was the closest to celebrity photographer I will ever get - we had a family approach us asking to get a picture with the couple. They are stunning together.]
